The Command Sergeant Major Anthony V. Savino Award Recipient- SFC Reinaldo Barrera

The Command Sergeant Major Anthony V. Savino Award recognizes a noncommissioned officer who epitomizes the loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage exemplified in the NCO Creed.

The Award citation reads as follows:

SFC Reinaldo Barrera is hereby awarded The Command Sergeant Major Anthony V. Savino Award. SFC Barrera has continually displayed the highest levels of duty, dedication, and selfless service in his 17 years as a Soldier. He has mentored and developed countless Soldiers over the years holding several leadership roles in multiple Infantry companies in the state. He has been a critical participant in the state partnership program, traveling to Uruguay five times to train and support Soldiers from our partner nation. He has filled critical roles as a Rappel Master, Senior Recruiting and Retention NCO, and CO A, 102D Training NCO. SFC Barrera has distinguished himself among his peers and is the epitome of a Non-Commissioned Officer. His performance sets the standard for others to follow and promotes the image and ideals of the Infantry. His service is a credit to the 102D Infantry Regiment, the 86 IBCT, the great state of Connecticut, and our Nation.
