Jeffrey John Houle, (U.S. Army N.G. Staff Sergeant – Retired), 80, of Wallingford, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Complete Care in Meriden. He was the loving husband of Linda N. (Petrillo) Houle, with his fondest memory being their wedding day over 27 years ago.

Jeff was born in Hartford, CT, March 27, 1945, a son of the late Roger O. and Mary (Fries) Houle. He graduated from Bristol Eastern H.S. and UConn where he achieved a B.A. Degree. He also held a Paralegal Litigation Certificate and an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering. Jeffrey faithfully served in the Army National Guard for over 25 years, retiring in 1993. He was employed by S.N.E.T., retiring with more than 25 years of service. He then continued his career working at Lucent Technologies and lastly at Pond Technical Sales.

Jeff was deeply devoted to his Catholic faith. An active parishioner of Church of the Resurrection, he served as a Eucharistic Minister, an Altar Server, a member of the Men’s League and a Past Chairperson of the Carnival. Jeff was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Pinta Council #5 and Christopher Columbus Council #1858. He was a 3rd Degree Past Grand Knight, 3rd Degree Past District Deputy, 4th Degree Past Faithful Navigator and 4th Degree Past Color Corps Commander.

Jeff lived a very active life. He coached youth and high school sports teams, was an avid golfer and target shooter. He was a member of: The CT Yanks Ancient Fife and Drum Corps, the American Legion, the Sleeping Giant Association, the Hamden Elk’s Lodge, and the Talcott Mountain Agility Club. Jeff enjoyed rooting for UConn Basketball teams and the Boston Red Sox. He loved driving his 1995 green convertible Corvette and loved and adored his two Shetland Sheep Dogs, Missy and Prince, and his cat Onyx.

In addition to his wife Linda and pets, he is survived by his children, Kimberly Nemic of Wallingford, Christa Rossicone (Lenny) of Northford, David Houle of Southington, and Tracy Rodrigues of Wallingford; his brothers, Thomas Houle (Peggy) of Minnesota, and John Houle (Cindy) of Hamden; and his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Wednesday, Oct. 1st, from 3pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 2nd at 10:30am, directly at Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford. Interment with military honors will follow in the CT State Veterans’ Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown.
