BG (RET) Joseph Normand Pouliot Sr.

Joseph N. Pouliot SR, 89, of Milford, passed away peacefully on 3 April, 2022. Born on 2 December, 1932 in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Amedee and Justine Pouliot.

Joseph graduated from Hartford High School, attended college at night and later achieved his Masters degree from New Haven College in Business Management. He worked for Western Electric (AT&T) and United Illuminating. Additionally, he served in the active US Army and the Connecticut National Guard for 38 years, retiring as a General Officer. He had two deployments to Germany. He also served as the Connecticut Adjutant General a short time. Joseph coached Little League baseball. He was a strong supporter and member of the Milford Elks, Rotary Club, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed gymnastics, golf, and his New York Giants.

He is survived by his children: Joseph Pouliot, Jr. and his wife Sunny; Cynthia Supan and her husband John; Susan Saldibar and her husband Brett; David Pouliot and his wife Nicky; and Barbara Pouliot, his daughter-in-law. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren: Stacy Pouliot; Jennifer Hadjar; Kristin and Rebecca Supan; Derek and Spenser Saldibar; David Jr, and Alexandra Pouliot; Raquel Cuellar; Jacob and Hannah Pouliot; and Heather Barghout. He also has six great-grandchildren Adrian Wolfe; VioletJane Cuellar; Xavier Oliveria; and Troy, Brandon, Mateo Barghout. Josephs wife Lillian passed away 15 months ago and he has a predeceased son, Steven Pouliot. Joseph was one of 13 children and is survived by one sister, Lara Tolisano.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1030 on 11 April at St. Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish), 70 Gulf Street, Milford. Interment will be private. Friends and family may call from 0800 to 1000 AM on 11 April at Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
