Welcome to your National Guard Association of Connecticut Website

The National Guard Association of Connecticut was incorporated in 1994 as a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the welfare and interests of the Connecticut National Guard.  Today, almost 20 years later, the NGACT has the same mission.  The organization's primary focus continues to be petitioning Congress and the State Legislature for the resources needed to obtain better equipment, standardized training, and ultimately, a more combat ready force.

NGACT is a (501 c19) non-profit. Your contributions are fully tax deductible.

MISSION STATEMENT  2012

The National Guard Association of Connecticut (NGACT) is a non-profit organization dedicated to National Guard veterans. The mission of the National Guard Association of Connecticut is to preserve and advance legislative rights and benefits granted to Connecticut National Guard members and Connecticut National Guard veterans. NGACT recognizes the tenuous nature of all State and Federal Government granted benefits. We defend our rights through political action, community volunteerism, and charitable giving. NGACT seeks protection of National Guard rights at the national level by membership in the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) and the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS).

CALL TO ACTION!!!!!!

Two of our NGACT supported bills, HB 6459: An Act Concerning Tuition Waivers for Certain Veterans and Members of the National Guard Enrolled at Charter Oak State College and SB 934: An Act Concerning Fee Waivers for Educational Extension Programs and Summer School Sessions for Wartime Veterans and Members of the Connecticut National Guard have both been approved by the Veterans Affairs Committee, and for the first time in all the years we have submitted them, have also been approved by the Higher Education Committee. They are now with the Appropriations Committee. We need to email the leadership of this committee and any member who is our representative or senator, and ask them to support these two bills by sending them to the floors of the House and the Senate for a full vote. These are two of the biggest issues we have been dealing with for the past several years and we are closer this year than ever to having them become reality. This won't happen if they don't hear from us and quickly. Please share this with all your friends and family. It will also be posted on the NGACT facebook page, so share it to your pages as well. The link to get to the Appropriations' membership page where you can direct click on their individual emails is: http://www.cga.ct.gov/asp/menu/MemberList.asp?comm_code=APP
